The bar espresso, at home

Tiomoka is inspired by the blend we have served to cafés for a lifetime: Indian and Vietnamese Robustas for body, washed Central American Arabicas for clarity, natural Brazilian Arabicas for sweetness. In the cup it is full and roasty, with a chocolate finish and very little acidity. The crema is thick and lasting.

BLEND

Why choose a coffee blend?

Why choose a coffee blend?

A coffee blend is born from different origins, chosen and dosed by the roaster to find the balance between aroma, body and acidity.

This combination gives a profile that stays the same over time: a recognisable, consistent flavour that does not change with the seasons or with the natural swings of the harvest.

It is this consistency that makes a blend special: a taste that becomes familiar and brings back the same sensations and memories every time.

Behind a great blend lies not only the quality of each coffee, but the hand of whoever brings them together, turning variety into identity and time into a memory of taste.

ORIGIN

PROVENIENZA
1
ROBUSTA
India

The Robusta Indian bean brings an intense and decisive character to the blend, with very low acidity and a full body that fills the palate. Its aromas are typically earthy and woody, with notes of dried fruit and bitter cocoa, sometimes enriched with slight spicy nuances thanks to cultivation in shaded plantations alongside tropical spices.

2
ROBUSTA
Vietnam

Robusta coffee from Vietnam is renowned for its intense and decisive character. It has a full-bodied flavor, with marked bitterness, low acidity, and typical notes of cocoa, dried fruit, and damp earth, often accompanied by a dense and persistent crema thanks to its higher caffeine and oil content compared to Arabica.

3
ARABICA
Guatemala

Guatemalan Arabica is known for its rich and complex profile, with a balance between sweetness and liveliness. In the cup, it offers a medium-full body and good structure, accompanied by a bright yet well-integrated acidity. Aromas range from notes of chocolate, caramel, and fruit, with nuances reminiscent of citrus, flowers, or berries. The result is a harmonious and aromatic coffee, capable of combining depth and freshness, making it ideal both pure and blended to add character and complexity.

4
ARABICA
Brazil

Brazilian Arabica is known for its sweet and consistent profile, with low acidity and a very smooth taste. Its aromas often recall chocolate, caramel, and dried fruit, with a medium-full body that makes it extremely balanced and easy to drink for many palates. For this reason, it is used both as a single origin and as a “harmonizing” base in blends, where it adds roundness and natural sweetness.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are ESE pods?

Paper filter discs with the coffee already dosed and tamped inside. ESE stands for Easy Serving Espresso, an open 44 mm standard: the same pod fits machines of different brands. They are not capsules, and no plastic or aluminium touches the coffee.

Will they fit my machine?

If your machine has a filter holder for paper pods, yes: Didiesse Frog, Bialetti, Lavazza with pod holder, De'Longhi and Gaggia with ESE adapter, and every other 44 mm pod machine. If you have a capsule machine, no. In doubt, send us the model and we will answer.

How do I dispose of them?

The pod, paper and coffee, goes with organic waste. The protective sachet is plastic and goes with plastic recycling.

How does the espresso taste?

Full and chocolatey, low in acidity, with a lasting crema. One pod, one 30 ml espresso; for a longer coffee let it run a few seconds more, Tiomoka holds up well. If you prefer bar espresso to moka coffee, this is your pod.
